Michael
Mathematics Student & Pilates Instructor
My name is Michael and I am an enthusiastic mathematics student. During my first year I developed a strong passion for Statistics and Data Analysis. Motivated by this interest I decided exploring advanced data-gathering techniques independently, focusing on presenting complex technical information in a clear and professional manner. This journey has shown me the big importance of data in today’s world and how diverse analytical methods can be applied to solve real-world problems and predict future outcomes.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I am very interested in learning about other cultures. This curiosity recently led me to participate in a two-week intercultural exchange program with students from the Henan University of Economics and Law in China. Immersing myself in this program offered me incredible new insights, broadening my perspective and enriching my understanding of their millenarium culture.
This experience builds on my previous international volunteering work in Kathmandu, Nepal. There, I spent two weeks supporting a local family as they rebuilt their lives following an earthquake, assisting them with essential daily duties and community tasks.
Outside of mathematics, you will probably find me doing some exercise. I am very passionate about sports and physical health, which led me to participate in my first half marathon and two 10k running events in London. This passion is what inspired me to earn my certificate as a Pilates instructor, making it one of my favourite ways to stay grounded and help others move better.
